Pampers Natural Stages Pacifiers Recalled

Key Baby LLC, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the voluntary recall of Pampers® Natural Stages Infant Ortho and Bulb Pacifiers due to a choking hazard. (Note: Pampers® licensed their brand name to Key Baby, and the pacifiers are manufactured by Tahoe Enterprises.) People should stop using the recalled pacifiers immediately.

Although no incidents have been reported yet, the recalled pacifiers fail to meet federal safety standards and pose a choking hazard to young children.

Recalled Pampers Pacifiers

The recalled pacifiers come in yellow, pink, or blue silicone. Only “Stage 1″ pacifiers have been recalled. ”Stage 1″ and “Ortho” or “Bulb” are printed on the package. The recalled pacifiers have an oval-shaped mouth guard and “Pampers” molded on to the handle side of the mouth guard. The product comes two per package and was sold nationwide at retail stores from April 2010 through February 2011 for about $6.

Caregivers should immediately take the recalled pacifiers away from infants and contact Key Baby for instructions on returning the product for a full refund or $10 coupon toward the purchase of any Pampers® Natural Stages products. For additional information, contact Key Baby toll-free at (800) 447-1224 anytime, or visit the company’s web site at www.key-baby.com.
